Buyer Purchase & Protection Terms
What buyers should expect from sellers, checkout, delivery, protection, returns and verified reviews.
1. Who you buy from
The seller named on the storefront is the retail seller. enta provides the marketplace and protected order workflow. A supplier may fulfil a supplier-sourced order on behalf of the seller.
2. Checkout price
Before payment, enta checkout shows the product amount, VAT where applicable, delivery and the enta order total. Delivery may depend on the buyer’s State and LGA. The payment provider may add its applicable processing charge before the buyer finally confirms payment.
The current launch is prepaid through enta checkout. Pay on delivery is not currently available.
3. Payment
Payment is processed through third-party payment infrastructure such as Flutterwave. Under the current fee policy, applicable payment-provider collection charges are borne by the buyer. enta does not require a stored-value wallet for marketplace purchases.
Pay only through enta for buyer protection. An off-platform payment request should be treated as a warning sign and may fall outside enta’s transaction-level protection controls.
4. Delivery confirmation
When the seller, supplier or supported fulfiller claims delivery, the order moves into a protected confirmation state. The buyer can open the protected order page and use one Confirm received action.
If something is wrong, the buyer should report the problem instead of confirming receipt. A photo can be submitted as evidence and a written explanation is optional where the image is sufficient.
5. Protection and return windows
The initial 48-hour confirmation window protects settlement while the buyer confirms receipt or opens a dispute. The standard enta return-request window is seven days where applicable.
These operational windows do not extinguish mandatory consumer rights for defective, unsafe, counterfeit, misdescribed, undelivered or otherwise non-compliant goods.
6. Reports, returns and refunds
The protected order page supports reports for issues such as non-delivery, wrong item, damage, defects, authenticity concerns, misleading descriptions and seller misconduct.
Approved returns can move through review, approval, buyer return dispatch, return receipt and refund processing. Refund timing can depend on the payment provider and banking network.
7. Verified reviews
After protected delivery is completed, the buyer can rate the purchase and leave an optional comment. Eligible published reviews appear as Verified buyer reviews on the seller storefront.
Reviews must be truthful and must not contain unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, private or fabricated content.
8. Notifications and order access
enta may send transactional order emails and provides a protected order link for order tracking, confirmation, issues, returns and reviews. Buyers should keep the checkout email address accessible until the order is complete.
